I’m a PhD fellow in economics at Copenhagen Business School. I work at the intersection of public economics and quantitative spatial economics, studying how the distribution of people and activity across neighborhoods, cities, and nations is shaped by and shapes public policy. Using administrative data and structural models, I evaluate policy counterfactuals.
My interest in space and policy comes from spending time across Europe, China, and the United States during periods of rapid change. Seeing how institutions differ, and how people move in search of opportunity, showed me that policy design and spatial structure matter. That perspective shapes my research agenda: bringing quantitative rigor to questions at the intersection of space, the economy, and human welfare.
I hold degrees in physics, business and area studies, and economics and finance, with additional training in philosophy and theology. I’m passionate about economics not only as a science but also for its concern with the big questions of society - questions that touch deeply on individual lives.
